OBSERVERSHIP PROGRAM
Mumbai Kidney Foundation is proud to announce “Observership program” across various sub-specialties in Nephrology starting May 2024. The program is intended to benefit early career Nephrologists and established Nephrologists alike, providing them an opportunity and platform to have direct, short tenured, mentor guided skill upgradation. The duration of each Observership course has been kept flexible (predetermined minimum time frame to allow reasonable exposure) so as to allow the individual Nephrologists to coordinate with their respective Mentors to maximize the exposure to the desired skill set without losing valuable time. The program has tried to incorporate different niche areas of Nephrology practice, thereby ensuring skill upgradation via a targeted observership for a finite period of time. It is a semi-structured program in which the Nephrologists will get an opportunity to visit a center of excellence. The institutes and mentors for observership have been carefully selected keeping in view the availability of patients to permit more hands-on experience and expert faculty. Mentors/ senior faculty will help guide and facilitate hands-on-training in the field of choice to ensure skill upgradation during the observership tenure.
MKF academic wing wishes to supplement the excellent endeavor by the Indian Society of Nephrology – Fellowship course which has laid the foundation of skilled fellowships and observerships across the country. It aims to provide an added opportunity for candidates desirous of pursuing sub-specialty training based on their liking; and lacunae during training days, under the supervision of mentors who excel in the respective field and beyond.
Please go through the brochure and the application process below. The allocation of the observership course is transparent and will incorporate the needs and availability of mentors and candidates alike.
